Printable Free Bubble Labels For Party Favors
I made these boxes for a friend’s wedding. (It was a small wedding, so it wasn’t that difficult). However, I challenged myself to make wedding favors for less than $2. The wedding decor had a rustic modern farmhouse vibe so I wanted to use kraft paper. As it turns out, paper grocery bags look just like kraft paper, so I ended up making a little gift box out of the free paper! These are simple but beautiful cheap boxes.
For my own wedding, I managed to spend under $50,000 on everything, including the honeymoon. At the time I thought it was a lot. I still think it’s a lot for one occasion, but as it turns out, it’s not appropriate for weddings and honeymoons. It’s crazy what people are willing to spend in one day. I love this recent trend of low-key backyard weddings.
That was the inspiration for this project, I wanted to create something that wouldn’t cost anything. Even the little things add up when you have 100 guests. These boxes are sold online for $2.

My gift box is very easy to make and you can use materials you already have at home.
Now, if you don’t want to sit around collecting grocery bags, kraft paper isn’t that expensive. You can get a pack of 50 on Amazon for less than $10. For this particular gift box, I recommend using medium density kraft paper or cardboard in general. Anything simpler will not last. Here are some of my favorite brands of cardboard:

There are several ways to do this. You can always design the expression manually. I spent some time optimizing my pattern for proportions. It’s free for all interested, including all file formats (SVG|PNG|PDF).
You can cut the grocery bag to a standard paper size for your printer and print directly on the grocery bag to cut it out.

Alternatively, you can print it out on regular copy paper and then trace the expression by hand.
I have a fancy cutting machine so I just cut it out there, but it’s a simple design and completely handmade. If you are using a grocery bag, I recommend the green standard mat. The grocery bags are a bit rougher and require an adhesive backing. If you are currently using kraft cardstock, I recommend using a blue pad with a light tacky tackiness. It’s much easier to remove the expression and clean it up afterwards.
Fold the bottom of the cutout and slide the hearts into the slits. Most of the time I don’t care about grading, especially if I’m doing a lot of them, but some thicker materials may need an initial grading before assembly.
