Hand Embroidery Patterns Free Vintage
Hand Embroidery Patterns Free Vintage – This beautiful design is from Belding’s early 1900s silk embroidery thread design book. This is a large floral design with several smaller designs included for use elsewhere in the embroidery item.
Large design measures approximately 5 x 5 inches and can be duplicated. Smaller designs are 1 to 1½ inches. Of course, once it’s printed, by clicking the design above or downloading the PDF below, you can copy and resize it using your printer settings.

Although this beautiful design is described in the booklet as a clothing design, it certainly should not be limited to clothing. Buffet scarves, tablecloths and napkins are another good choice.

These are artistic chrysanthemums of all sizes and shapes, drawn more or less conventionally. They are beautifully placed for the entire front of the skirt, the frills are designed to extend the rest of the skirt, waist and sleeves.
Some flowers are extended to the shoulders, others are extended to the front or back of the waist, and smaller ones are extended to the sleeves. This is the most practical design because it can be easily adapted to different materials.
It is embroidered with yellow or golden brown to royal on brown fabric. Long and short stitches hit the tips of the petals, as well as the traditional numbers in the design. The dots in the middle of the flowers are a tight satin stitch with dark shades.

Stems are depicted with dark shadows. Each flower is shaded with five-six shades, one side is light, the opposite side is dark. Some flowers are light, some are medium and others are dark. The leaves are shaded in the same way.
(This Daffodil Silk Hand Embroidery post has a pattern that shows the shade they offer in this section.)
This design is also used for a belt with these loose chrysanthemums stitched in a casual but artistic way.

The free patterns at Needle Crafter are a little more traditional, but more beautiful. You have to look a little harder to find modern designs here, but the arts and crafts section and the geometric section have some charm. This is a beautiful tulip pillow design from the arts and crafts section.

Lisa is known for her contemporary needlepoint jewelry designs for Zelma Rose and her art installations. Most of these were scanned from very old Victorian ladies’ books which contained all sorts of advice on sewing, cooking and homemaking. I think the designs are great even if you don’t want to use them for embroidery. They can be colored with markers or colored pencils and will look great on handmade cards or stationery.
Pictured above is a sweet vintage monogram embroidery pattern! Scanned from an antique, Circa 1860, Ladies’ Guide, it’s full of all kinds of different sewing and embroidery designs! This is a beautiful Line Drawing Floral design with two oval frames in the middle section. The ovals were intended to fill the initials of the Monogram. I believe it is meant to be placed in the corner of a scarf. Very good!
Christmas Holiday Designs: Vintage Embroidery Patterns
Here is a beautiful vintage embroidery pattern! Scanned from the Antique Ladies’ Guide, described above, is a beautiful design of some flowers and leaves around with a rose in the center. I think this would make a great Photoshop brush!
This beautiful black and white embroidery pattern features a bunch of beautiful curved flowers and leaves. There are several small five-petalled flowers and one tulip flower, as well as several leaves. I love this vintage embroidery pattern and line drawings; they can be used for many things. These old Line drawings are easy to follow. They make the perfect transition for furniture that can be decorated with paint! Of course, this would also be great used for its original purpose as an embroidery transfer. This book is derived from the same 1860s women’s knitting manual.
Above we have two versions of a beautiful embroidery pattern scanned from a Circa, 1860 tutorial. Two beautiful Line Art patterns of a flowering vine are presented. The original pattern is a pattern with cute polka dots, but I made a second version without the dots to give you another option. I think this would make a great Photoshop brush!

This is a free embroidery pattern! It comes from an old Frisian embroidery book. The pattern includes a beautiful floral border with the word “Souvenir” in the center. I’m sure it takes a lot of practice and patience to learn this beautiful art!
Well, it’s not much of a flower, but I think it’s pretty, so I’ll pinch it! Above is a fun image by Ivy Design that has a nice hand drawn “sketch” effect. If you look closely, you can see a sweet butterfly hidden in the design! A cute item for your spring projects or great for embroidery too!
