A purchase order can be converted to an invoice. An invoice is usually created when you deliver goods or services ordered by a customer. Invoices can be open (unpaid), closed (paid) or credit (negative sales). Invoices cannot be converted into quotations or purchase orders. And it’s easy to change these styles to add your own personal touch. By default, business details entered in the Company Information window (Settings menu > Company Information) will appear on your invoice. This includes your company name and contact details: you can add your business logo and a ‘payment method’ section, or make your invoice stand out with colour. But you. To customize an invoice To customize an invoice go to the Settings menu and select Custom Forms. The Customize Forms window appears. Click the Invoices tab on the left. Click the type of invoice form you want to customize (Service, Item, Professional, etc.). The form will be prescribed for that type of invoice. Choose the right form Make sure you’re customizing the right invoice form for your needs. For example, if you use the service form when entering invoices, customize the service invoice form. For some fields, you need to choose where you want the field to appear when the form has multiple pages. You can choose to display the field on every page, or only at the beginning ( home ) or end ( last page ). The selected fields will appear on the form. Move the field to the desired position by clicking and dragging, or enter placement coordinates in the Customize tab. To learn more about working with data fields, see Add text and data fields to forms. On the Customize tab, add or edit a table, click Table and select the type of table you want to use from the list. Click the table box, then drag the red cross to position the table. Click on the table outline and select Display/Hide Columns. Select the column you want to add to the table in the list of available columns and then click Show. Repeat this for any other columns you want to add. Click OK. The column appears in your table. To learn more about working with tables, see Adding tables to forms. Edit Page Background If you want to change the page color, click Page Color and select the desired background color. If you want to add a watermark (transparent image or text), click Watermark and choose one of the predefined watermarks, or choose a custom watermark. If you are adding a custom watermark, select an image or text watermark and select the desired formatting. Options Click OK. To learn more, see Set form size and background. Once you’ve customized your form, click the Save button (upper left corner). The Save Form As window appears: Enter a name and description for the form. Your custom invoice will be listed.
