Blank Workout Log – There are very few things in life that I like. My husband. The smell of cheesecake. When you exercise consistently and do well, you get that endorphin rush. It doesn’t matter that my legs shake a little, it’s a sense of accomplishment and an endorphin rush every time.

But getting to the next level often requires keeping track of where you’ve been. After all, if you don’t know where you’re going and where you are now, you can’t get there.

While there are many reasons to exercise, losing weight is a great motivator for many people. This is not surprising. Almost 40% of Americans are obese. More than 70% of people are overweight (including obese people).

There are many weight loss tips. How do you know which ones to follow? How about sticking with the ones that are actually proven by science.

Because exercising is such a personal thing and everyone has their own preferences, I’ve designed three different workout journals that you can print for free. I use the first one. Next to each one, I’ve included details on how to use it.

Since each is a fairly detailed workout log, it includes a place for strength training. If you’re looking for a more versatile fitness tracker, check out the free printable monthly fitness tracker post.

• Printing options: Plain paper works well. However, if you plan on using it for a few weeks, you may want to experiment with more cards.

• The default size is a full page. But if you want less, just reduce the print size! If you’re not sure how much to reduce, read my post on how to resize print files to fit your planner.

You can use it in two ways. As a printable weekly workout log or monthly workout log. I prefer it as monthly.

• For strength, just assume each set is “1” and keep track of the different reps and weights in each column. Example: Biceps – 1 set of 10 lbs, 10 lbs. 1 set of 10 to 15 lbs. and 1 set of 10, 10 lbs. All of this will be done in one training session.

• For strength, assume each barbell set (sets/reps/weight) is a separate exercise. For example, for the biceps: Week one, in the first column, I’ll do 3 sets of 10 reps with 10 lbs. During the second week, in the second column, I’ll do 3 sets of 10 reps with 15 lbs. With enough rows, I can do my three days of training (legs and abs, biceps and back, triceps and chest) in one journal.

Best Cardio Workout Log Template Free Printable

• For cardio, assume each set of bars is a different week of training. If you do multiple workouts in a week, use a barbell to log them.

This weekly workout log is divided into three strength training sections: Core, Upper Body, and Lower Body. For each exercise, there is a section to track three different approaches.

Track three different workouts. It also has room for cardio if you’re doing cardio alongside your strength training. (I’m looking at you, Jen, as you read this!). There are 4 different sets of spaces.
